Social Club Victorian Party
Shopping guide/resources
------WIGS If you want long flowy hair for this event this particular wig is always my go-to in my studio. Its lace front and looks great in person and comes in multiple color options.

Any other long wavy/curly wig will also look good, you can wear in a long braid, pull half way back with a little ribbon bow, or just wear down.
Hair:
Online tutorial for some Victorian style rag curls, I DO not recommend trying these with out a few practice runs before hand as they take a few times to get the hang of it.

Makeup: little to none is needed, at most i'd do foundation, a little blush, and a little mascara. a little pink on the lips is also fine, don't go over board!
Avoid if possible: eyeliner, over drawn eyebrows, thick unnatural faux lashes, heavy lipsticks, nail colors other than pink, nude, or natural
We are only doing a group photo so if you absolutely can't live with out something it's okay! These are just my suggestions.

Nightgown shopping guide:
Full disclosure: I can't vouch for the quality of anything listed here, so use your own judgement when purchasing!
IF you are looking at nightgowns in the $40 and up range, PLEASE screenshot the image and google image search in, many-many incredibly expensive nightgowns on etsy for example, are on AliExpress for pennies on the dollar and they are just trying to upsell you.
If you think for a moment that it could be a stock image and not a handmade item on etsy, google image search, add the term AliExpress to help. Alot of the times you can even do this with things you find on amazon. But do keep in mind that ordering from AliExpress to save money is great but can be slow shipping, so don't put it off till close to the event.
Note everything here is only suggestions to help make it easier, feel free to shop around where-ever you'd like. And if you want my advice on anything before purchasing feel free to email me photos to: autumnluciano@gmail.com
Inexpensive/Easy:
Search white vintage nightgown on:
Amazon
AliExpress (going to be a lot of the same options as amazon, but probably cheaper, but with slower shipping!)
Authentic antique pieces:
Check Etsy, Ebay, Facebook marketplace, and local antique stores. Be sure to pay attention to condition, some are built to last
and others are more fragile and may not hold up great to a party.
More expensive/slow fashion options:

Masq options:
Accessories:
Remember we are going for a "heading to bed" or "woke up in the middle of the night to a strange sound"
look. So think simple.
Hair down, or in braids.
Barefoot and bare legs are totally acceptable!
If you run cold: Black knit knee high socks or panty hose with black lace up boots, and a shawl or simple knit cardigan
jewelry: a black ribbon choker, or simple antique chain/charm is cute, don't go overboard
Ribbon in hair as a headband or tied part back is also cute!
If you don't want a nightgown, alternatively look into bloomers, or a skirt for bottoms, and what is called a "corset cover" top. a white button down little undershirt they would wear. There are some examples of these on the Pinterest board.
Masc options: a sleeping cap, classic slipped, a velvet smoking jacket/robe would also be cute.
Or if you are not doing a sleep shirt, black or brown slacks with a billowy white shirt is also a good option!
